This is the most fun thing in the world.
I get to eat all these simple and complex carbs. My mom made me spaghetti, and I’ve been eating like all these nuts and trail mixes and ezekiel breads and bagels and I’m really stuffed. Not just full stuffed, but stuffed full of carbs.
The idea behind carbo loading is that you stockpile energy a few days before a race so you have surplus on the day of a race. I’m not a very food motivated person but eating a lot of it is always fun, even though it kinda goes against the popular way of thinking of eat less and manage carbs so you don’t feel fatigued.
Right now I’m just consuming protein carbs and fruits by the barrel haha. It’s easy to overdose though so I’ll see how I feel tomorrow and eat more/less from there.
The cool thing is you immediately gain a few pounds of carb/water weight and that disappears after you expend the carbs aka after the race.
Today was my active rebuilding day, tomorrow is my inactive rebuilding day… so basically I’m not doing anything athletic tomorrow at all.
